“A perfect gem”
Reviewed 31 August 2017

When we first stayed at Rowanlea Lodge a year ago it was just a few months old. One year on and Lorna has maintained her high standards so that everything still appears as if new. One useful addition is the secure bike shed which doubles as a log store at the rear of the building. The Lodge is warm and cosy whatever the weather and Lorna goes out of her way to ensure that her guests enjoy a perfect visit.

We look forward to our next visit.

“The perfect hideaway”

This cabin lived up to all the reviews. Stunning views, quiet location, comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic for walking and also well located to visit attractions in the surrounding area. Lorna was a fantastic host and gave excellent recommendations for local places to eat and things to do

“Stay here - it's fantastic!”
Reviewed 3 July 2017

We stayed here as two couples on motorbikes, (the owners are ex-bikers), and we couldn't have been more welcome. The owner, Lorna, is lovely and the lodge itself is wonderful. Fully kitted out with literally everything that you will need for your stay, (and thanks ever so much for the chocolates and flowers on arrival Lorna x). The Marykirk Inn - 5 to 10 minutes walk - is lovely and the food and the staff are fantastic. Although the weather wasn't that kind to us we still managed to get out and about in the stunning countryside, and when we couldn't the log fire kept us cosy. Five stars all round! Thanks again Lorna - I'm passing on your details to all of my family and friends x
